Go with either WD Caviar Black or Seagate Barracuda 7200.12
  2. i have bought around 4 caviar blacks and they work great, they are fast, have twice the cache as normal hdd and they have a 5 year warranty! The caviar blacks last a lot longer too. Oh and if you are going to use the caviar black you might as well have it be the primary hdd. Because it will be faster than the 80gb you will see a significant performance increase.
  3. I would replace the 80GB altogether. Just drop in a Spinpoint F3 - my first choice or the Seagate or this WD.
