i have looked around on here for help on OC'ing my cpu. i cant find some of my answers though. for this processor, can i just change the clock speed? or do i have to change voltages and stuff.

i have this heatsink
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185096

i used OCCT to see how high the temps would go under FULL load and the highest it got was 55C. when i am on second life, skype, and mozilla it is only at 43-44C.

is it possible to OC with this cooler and not burn it up?

thank all for help

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

The OC not only depends of the cooler, you also need bear in mind the airflow of your case.

Now, if U want go for 3.8GHz or more, you need change the voltage but if you only want go for 3.6GHz or less, just rise the multiplier until x18.

U can read this to know how OC your 955.
