I'm planning on doing a new build. I was thinking of using 2 small SATA drives set up as raid 0 for my OS and other programs.

Then, I want to use to large drives set up with raid 1 for storage.

So total I will have 4 HD's and 2 different raid types.

Is this possible?

I would be using an 890GX ASUS board.

In general, yes it is (and fairly common). I haven't read the manual on your board, but assuming it supports the standard raid types/functions, should be no problem.

Don't forget to back up your important files regardless of RAID level.
