So my budget is around $850, this build easily reaches $840 after taxes and shipping with the rebates and the combo prices.
I'm building this computer so I can give my sister my year old computer so she can play TF2/L4D (she's addicted to it and kicks me off my computer all the time) and decided to get myself a new computer that can run the newer games on maximum settings (Fallout 3, GTA IV, hopefully SC2 and D3 ) Please tell me if this build is any good?
My old computer specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Brisbane 2.6GHz
Radeon x1950xt
2 gigs of ram
550w PS
My New Build
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz - 189.99
HIS Hightech H487F512P Radeon HD 4870 - 209.99
ASUS P5Q Pro + Rosewill RX750-D-B 750W - 179.98
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) - 44.99
Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower - 69.95
2x Thermaltake A2018 120mm Blue LED - 24.98
Since the video card is no longer available, I don't know if i can still stay within my budget and was thinking if i should upgrade my sister's computer just enough so it can handle TF2/L4D at least mid settings because my current computer has only been with me for a year and handles Fallout 3 to mid - high still and kinda unsure if I should upgrade to a new computer so soon and since I really want a PS3 so i can play LBP.
Thanks for your help
