Alright so here's the thing. new ex58-ud5, i7 920, gtx 280, corsair 6 gb ddr3, silencer 750W psu.
been waiting for weeks for the PSU. just got it. MOBO refuses to turn on when 8 pin is connected in but you still see the LED light turn on. 24 pin only turns on everything, including fans, hard drives, etc... so is it the psu or should i contact gigabyte about this? pleaaaaaase someone try and help me out.
oh and my vid card won't turn on with the 8 pin and 6 pin connectors in either.
i tested with a power surge checker thingy that lights up when the connector works and when i connected the 8 and 6 pin, it didn't light up. however, the LED of my vid card does light up when i stick in the 6 or 8 pin in, but fan won't spin soo....
