Hi,
I reinstalled Vista x64 and was trying to update the DX runtime. So I got the Nov. 2008 and it installed most of it, but it had some errors. Here is what it said from my log files:

--------------------

--------------------

ExecuteInf() failed.

DirectXUpdateInstallPlugIn() failed.

--------------------

InstallPlugIn() failed.

Is there anyway for me to fix these errors? I tried running the same update again after restarting, but it said that it seemed that my DX runtime was up to date.

Thanks for your help

Here's what my dxdiag says (I omitted the stuff that I thought wasn't important to show) :
------------
DxDiag Notes
------------
Display Tab 1: No problems found.
Sound Tab 1: No problems found.
Sound Tab 2: No problems found.
Input Tab: No problems found.

--------------------
DirectX Debug Levels
--------------------
Direct3D: 0/4 (retail)
DirectDraw: 0/4 (retail)
DirectInput: 0/5 (retail)
DirectMusic: 0/5 (retail)
DirectPlay: 0/9 (retail)
DirectSound: 0/5 (retail)
DirectShow: 0/6 (retail)

Does this mean my games will be OK since it says that that were no errors?
If so, I don't understand why it gave me an error when I tried to install it. Did it somehow fix itself?

Thanks
