Samsung 2440 and Alternatives for 8" touch screen?

Hi everyone,

I am about to buy a device for my car that runs on a samsung 2440 processor. And since I have no experience with using CPU's in this sort of environment, I wanted to ask whether this processor would be sufficient to run the following tasks or whether there are better alternatives out there. How would they compare in price?

- 8" inch touch screen interface
- User input log
- Media file decoding and playing
- Communication with in car sensors
- Communication with WiFi hot spot when in range (e.g. pre-programmed updating)
- Screen lay-out changes (e.g. from full screen to split screen: e.g. JPEG plus MPEG)
