I read that with their new driver you can add another card just for physics processing, it must be at least like a 256mb nvidia.

I only have a pcie x1 slot besides the x16 slot, and have the x16 for a 9600GT.

Would adding like a $40 8400GT Pciex1 (or something similar using the pcie x1 slot) work for dedicating another card for the physics part only, and if so, would it be as the incredible, exciting, breath taking, eyes-big-as-saucers, cream-your-pants type of experience that the nvidia website says it would be, or not really even noticable? Would the card also have to be 9000 series or higher (i cant seem to find that answer).

Comments appreciated.

Well there are some issues here that i am aware of but cant say for sure if they apply or not.

1. This i do know and thats that the card needs only be a 8 series card or higher.
2. This im not so sure on but think that its possable the card wont work on a X1 slot, as i said im not sure which ones but definatly some of the newer cards wont drop down that low.
3. The differance wont be that great kinda like DX10 VS DX9.

Here is a list of games that run Physx http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_physxgames_home.html

+1 to both replies

I have 2 PCI-E 1.1 x16 slots on my MB, and I decided (at present anyway) to not leave a 8600 GT in the second slot after I upgraded from a 8600 GT SLI setup to a single 9800 GT. Not enough games support it (as a matter of fact, I couldn't find any that I play at present. Thus, why use the extra power in the system?
