I am haveing the same problem with the setup of Windows XP Pro. I just built a new computer. Installed a Asus P5K Deluxe WIFI with a Seagate SATA 500GB HD. Windows only shows 131GB as available space to partion instead of 500GB. I went into the BIOS and it recognizes the 500GB HD. Any suggestions.

Have you installed any of the XP service packs? I think there is a 127 or 137GB barrier unless you have at least SP1.
