Hey,

Can you comment on this build? I've never built a computer before so common sense comments are totally welcome!

Video Card I haven't decided on but I definitely need a reasonably priced one... suggestions welcome!

Case-whatever you want is what you need to buy
HHD=good plenty of space however the WD 640gb black is the performacne edition it is a little less and it should be a fair bit faster.
CPU=good
MoBo=good

Since your a gamer not an enthusiest or Overclocker the parts are good. might want to go with the Intel chipset the Q6600 is the same price, and the black edition is not faster it just has an unlocked multiplier so if you want to OC its easier.
the Q6600 will have more then enough power plus you can get a MoBo for peanuts. $100-120. the reason i mention this is it frees up a few bucks for a Video card. The card below will do you just fine for gaming can handle crysis at high settings at 40fps.

The GTX 260 Core 216 has pretty decent reviews. If you want to go AMD/ATI the 4870 is their flagship at the moment. Right now the absolute best card (IMO) is the ATI 4870x2, but nvidia SLI setups aren't far behind.
