Strange Question- I am not even sure if this is possible.

My computer (Gateway sx2300) has no space for extra HDs. It does have an eSata port but usually that is only for one HD connection. Are there any external SATA raid boxes that will take 4 SSDs and connect with a single eSata connection? I don't need any RAID really- just want my computer to see 4 extra single HDs.

I am trying to setup 4 Virtual XP machines using Virtual Box. No problem there, already running on my single HD but my speed will be greatly increased if I put each machine on it's own HD. I have no need for storage space on these XP virtual machines- so I was thinking of using 80GB SSDs. No space to install them (heck no extra SATA controller slots in this compact motherboard) so I was wondering if I could somehow use the eStata controller to do it.

Thanks.

Solution
You could get a SATA controller PCI-Express card and an enclosure for the disks.

You could get a SATA port multiplier and a hard drive simple enclosure and connect them to your PC via eSATA bracket.
