Your stylus is not held in by a magnet but by a spring. Look at the bottom of
your stylus and you will see a groove running around it. Then look in the shaft
at the same spot and you will see a corresponding bump. That is the spring. Take
apart the T and see if it can be re-bent. My older Palms have a metal spring
that can. I've not had my newer ones apart yet to see. Instructions for taking

Dirt and lint get in and clog up the little spring. The only way I have
been able to remedy this is to take the back off and carefully clean
the little components.
