I have the Sony VPCF11Z1/EI with Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz 8 GIG DDR3, boost technology up to 2.8GHZ, GT 330M 1 GIG DDR3 Dedicated and COD 4 runs choppy.

The only thing I can think of is that it's the slow processor or maybe the 64 bit.
W& does have a 32 bit emulator so it may not be the 64 bit.

Even though this boost technology and it's driver boosts the processor up to 2.8GHZ, it doesn't seem to run at that speed all the time. It seems to do so intermittently.

Do you think this is the reason games are choppy on this system?

And I would really like to get rid of the this boost technology driver and over clock the processor up to say 2.0GHZ, is this possible with VAIO BIOS?

Ram Is probably Your Issue. As far as i know COD 4 Is a multi Threaded Application Therefore you should have ample Processing power. Laptops don't really OC well So i'd stay away from that. try reducing resolution, anti analysing and some other settings. if that doesn't work, talk to your techie about a ram upgrade

Good luck! :D
