I have a Biostar TF8200 A2+ motherboard and would like know if an ATI HD 4850 class graphics card would work without problems. Does anyone have experience using ATI HD 4000 class video cards with motherboards that use Nvidia chipsets? Should I stick with Nvidia graphics cards only with my 8200 based motherboard?

Should be the same thing. Just remember to skip installation of the Nvidia Display driver.

I'm using ATi HD4850 on 8300 chipset motherboard..

You've another option, get 9800GTX+ and utilise Hybrid SLi(Hybrid Power) feature..
