Hi
i'm new to this forum so if im in the wrong place with my question my apologies in advance.

Is there anyone out there that has the zoom x6 adsl wireless router
and managed to setup the advanced firewall settings, and enabled them?

I have struggeld to get this feature to work, consulted zoom and not had much joy with them.

I have tried the following firewall settings on the router;

TCP - 0 - 65535 out - allow
UDP - 0 - 65535 deny
TCP - 25 both - allow
TCP - 110 both - allow
TCP - 80 out - allow
TCP - 443 out - allow
TCP - 1052 out - allow (DO I NEED THIS)
TCP - 1080 out - allow (DO I NEED THIS)
TCP - 1153 out - allow (DO I NEED THIS)
TCP - 1755 out - allow (DO I NEED THIS)
Do i need more ports than i have here?

External - DMZ rules are as follows;

TCP - 25 - both - allow
TCP - 110 - both - allow
TCP - 80 - out - allow
TCP - 53 - out - allow
Are these set correctly?

DMZ - internal rules are as follows;
TCP - 25 - both - allow
TCP - 110 - both - allow
TCP - 80 - out - allow
TCP - 53 out -allow
Again not sure of what should go here?

Finally the port trigger settings are as follows;
I have set ports 80, 53, 1755 to act as udp triggers duration of 10 and translation port type TCP the rest of the settings i have left as default !!

When i enable the firewall with these settings I am unable to get out, by this i mean cant get a web page to connect to a site.

However the modem and the vista networking shows that i have internet connectivity, which suggests to me as though i dont have the correct ports open.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Regards

Mike
