Want to upgrade the memory in a computer I was recently given. From what I can tell from this readout (below) the 2 DDR slots on my motherboard should be empty right? What specific type of ddr memory should I be getting (ie. ###Mhz DDR ### PC####)? (Not very useful with hardware, I just want to know what 2 buy off ebay, plan to get someone else to actually stick it in) Also is there a maximum amount of memory this setup will recognize?

How much SDRAM memory is installed? That motherboard has 2 DDR DIMM sockets and 2 DIMM sockets that can't be used simultaneously. In other words, you can either use 2 SDRAM modules or 2 DDR modules, but you can't use all 4 memory slots. The maximum memory is 1 GB (2 x 512 MB).

You can search for 184-pin DDR266 (they are relatively expensive). Don't buy ECC memory.

You can also search for 168-pin PC133 SDRAM which works well and is cheap.
