I am making a 'budget' computer for $750-$800, since 'budget' computers have gone up a lot in price these days. I am going to be gaming on it (and because of that I want a quad-core CPU), and don't know a tremendous amount about motherboard/video card/RAM/CPU compatibility. I am ordering my parts from Newegg and cannot decide between an ATI or Intel build. If you have any suggestions THAT WILL KEEP WITHIN $20 OF MY BUDGET, then they will be greatly accepted.

My current parts:

RAM:

Motherboard:

CPU:

Another added statement I am not sure about the video card and cpu, since I want to play games like Crysis, and I have a 17" LCD monitor w/ a maximum resolution of 1280x1024 (I know), but I also have a 32" HDTV that I may want to hook up to it. BTW I was also looking @ the 9800GTX, so I really need more decisive people to help me out. Thanks a lot for your help.

Go with the Seagate 7200.11 or the Western Digital that Slomo linked. Both are much faster and quieter than the 7200.10. I also agree with the 4850 instead of the card you chose. Other than that your build looks solid but if you're interested in overclocking you'll get higher performance from an Intel CPU.

Slomo's build is excellent.
You'd be sorely disappointed in a 3870 for Crysis, ESPECIALLY a Diamond (in fact that's the card that was the last straw that earned Diamond a place on my personal "Do not buy" list).
