Ok folks this is the question that I have been getting lots of different answers from my local friends so I thought I would ask here.

I just picked up a Gateway for my second comp that I want to do so gaming on but the on board graphics suck! That was a big shock wasn't it? But I don't want to upgrade my PSU.

The Gateway has a 400 watt, PSU 3 gigs of ram, and a core 2 quad 6600 and I would like to do some gaming on it.

What would you recommend?

In this case, I think your best chance would be with an ATI radeon 4670.

80 bucks, free shipping and 15 dollar mail in rebate. May cut it close on the PSU, not completely sure there, but it does not require an external power connector so will probably be the best card that you may not need a psu upgrade with. Should run a step below a 9600gt to give you an idea of performance.

Do you think I could get away with running someing like a 9800 GT? The specs say the minimum power needed is 400w or is that cutting it to close?
