Partition hard disk

Hello, does partition make computer slow or crashes the hard drives? i want to partition my hard disk. so, please tell me should i do partition or not.

Depends what hard drive you are wanting to format. If it is your system drive (usually C![:)]( ":)")
then it would not be a good idea. If it is another drive like an external or USB, then go right ahead. Just make sure not to remove them or turn off the computer until it is done.
If you are reinstalling your OS, I know that Microsoft give you the chance to format the hard drive during the install, so just look for it there.
