I am using ATI CCC and put the overclock up to 900gpu and 1200memory. Why dont the current values stay the same at the bottom of ATI overdrive? They are stuck at 500mhz on both.

Owerclockin values are used only in 3D mode... Not in the desktop.
So you better start playin some games if you want to find out if your card can take those settings without frying... Well I supose you have very good case ventilation. ;-)

well i would like to have atleast what it says on stock. GPU 750mhz and memory at 900mhz. I would be happy with that.

In normal 2D mode the GPU tryes to converse energy (and run cooler), so it does actually underclock your GPU in normal desktop mode. It's just normal. The 2D mode is so much easier to GPU than 3D mode, where all speed is needed!
As i said. Try some some gams and try to see if there are artefacts or any other anomalies to check out how your card can take those owerclockking ghanges. One alternate would be using some GPU test like 3Dmark. They show to you yours GPU's real speeds in 3D mode.
