IE7 issues with Tom's hardware !

I wanted to upgrade to internet Explorer 8 and I tried it. It was very slow and some pages ran worse than they did with IE7. So I uninstalled IE8 and went back to IE7. Now on some sites(not all) I get a message saying the site was aborted and I have to go back to the desktop.
Are there any solutions to this issues? Ever since IE 8 its been a real problem.
Tom's hardware is one of the sites that does abort, but tonight luckily its working.... for now anyways.

How did you uninstall IE8? System restore?

I always use Firefox. I have found it to be much better than IE.

Never tried firefox, but I uninstalled it using the microsoft website instructions. Wish I could have gotten IE8 working ,but it just ran dead slow, and on some pages with moving images they stuttered terribly.
