First off I would like to thank all those who helped me piece this machine together.

I was very lucky and got my 4th core to unlock right away from an AMD Athlon II X3 435 Rana 2.9GHz to a Phenom II X4 B35 Deneb w/ L-3 6mb cache. :bounce:

I was wondering if it would be safe to toy around with OC the processor speed slightly with stock cooler. I am running around 36c normal and topped out at 72c using Prime95 full load. Everything is running nice and smooth I guess I was just wondering if I could push it a tiny bit for fun at a safe temp.

Also ~ My system temp is usually around 7c-10c higher than my cpu temp on normal load. What is system temp?

Thanks in advance!

Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-770TA-UD3

The system temp is most likely your north bridge. I wouldn't recommend overclocking on the stock heat-sink since you are already seeing 72C. If you want to start overclocking get an after-market cooler I dont like core temps over 60C.

72C was with all 4 cores at 100% running Prime95. I just checked temp while running dirt 2 and it was at 45C. I thought I read around 75C under full stress test was normal?

Thanks for a fast response!
