I have a cisco 2611xm and recently was givng a cisco ASA 5505 . My question is while using the 2611xm for the main router to the outside world and the T1, can the ASA 5505 be connected behind it so the VPN lic can be used. If so how would that be done.

You might get away with it if you port forward or set the DMZ to point to the ASA 5505's IP Address. Never tried this, so I can't say for sure.

You would have to set a static IP address for your ASA 5505 that was in the same range as the LAN side of your 2611xm.
