Hello everyone. I have a windows Server @ home running Server 2k8 with a single NIC. It is behind a Netgear Router (not sure which model exactly) that connects to our Cable Modem. I've got the server set up with AD, DNS, DHCP, and Router & Remote access. This is mostly a test set up with one network drive so me and my room mates can share photos, music, etc. I've got one laptop that is joined to the Domain, all the other computers in the house are not on the domain. I want the server to hand out IP address via DHCP which is currently being handled by the Netgear router.

If I turn off DHCP on the router, will the wireless devices (iphones, laptops, desktops) in the house pick up an IP from the server if I set it up with a scope? Currently the only hard wired devices to the router are the server, and an xbox 360, all desktops have wireless cards. What do i need to do to get the server to hand out IP address rather than the router for every device within our house network? Thanks for any help in advance.
