You got a extra CPU and way slower ram. Both CPU's are junk. Your ram is slow as a turtle. Your bottle necking your video card big time. Your original CPU was junk and your new ones arent any better. You downgraded your mobo and ram big time.

You should have got a q6600 or e8400 for your other mobo and you would be scoring 14000+

Basically you downgraded. Buying old tech when its cheap and outdated dont mean it can run as good as new tech.

lol, a bit rude and blunt but quite true.
the ram is wwwwaaaayyy too slow for a dual CPU board.
and those CPUs are DEFINATELY not gaming grade

LOL hard!  it is not like ddr2 is cheap

DDR2 is INSANELY cheap. lets see, 4gigs of PC2 8500 for 50 dollars?

thats pretty reasonable to me;)

tru ill prolly toss in another 3 gigs of 800 ram than cuz it can get it for about 15 bucks each 1 gig stick =)

but do you guys think the cpu is a big bottleneck 2 or not 2 much =S

You need to use your p5ql pro motherboard and the 3G of ram you said you had with it, and buy a q6600 or e8400, OC and enjoy.

The workstation needs to go in the trash. It is a piece of crap. Both CPU's are a huge bottleneck.

You cant put 3g of DDR2 800 ram in the workstation, it is not compatible.

hmmm i kinda screwed myself than -_-. well lol i have no money right now so im gonna have to stick with it for a while rofl the only thing i could afford is ram but............ well this sucks lol

Did you trade or what? What happened to the first system?
December 28, 2008 4:21:44 PM

i cant even use my old stuff lol cuz i sold it to my buddy for like 500 bucks minus harddrives and vid card (he got the quadro fx card that came with the wrkstation) and i got the workstation for just under 500 - thats the main reason i did it lol i figured the ram i could upgrade if needed and the cpus i thought would be good =S i need 2 learn sum patience rofl.

Dude!!! You paid $500 for the workstation. I would take it back and demand a refund, or severely beat someone down.
