Sata Port Configuration

I just finished putting together a new system. All went together well but I have one question about a tight spot. Does it matter which of the 6 onboard Sata ports I use configuration wise? Sata port 1 and 3 I believe are very close to the hard drive cage and while I could use them 2and 4 are a better fit. I do have some right angle sata cables but they happen to be angled the wrong way to help. If it doesn't matter which ports I'm only using 4 of them at this point anyway and it's not a problem.

Not a problem. You can use any sata ports you want for any device.

The only time I've seen it matter is with some SSD drives in raid.
