Windows XP updates fail

Hello,
I've got similar problem with 23 Windows 2003 XP updates failing, is a Dell on home computer though, NOT part of a larger server/group. Can you help?

I have had that problem on computers that had automatic updates enabled. Try disabling automatic updates, then visiting the MS windows XP update website. As best as I can determine, having partial or corrupted downloads in the automatic update mode will cause manual updates to fail. Turning off automatic updates clears the files already downloaded or partially downloaded.
