DDR2 VS DDR3 CPU dilemma

So im with a little dilemma, im building a new computer, and was thinking of buying the new Phenom II x4 940, but then i found out, that the motherboards that support this cpu only support DDR2, so a looked around a little and found the Phenom II x4 925 which works on a newer motherboard that supports ddr3 but has less 200 MHz.
So my question is this, which option would be better?
The pc is for gaming and internet. Sorry for any bad spelling.

I'm assuming that your budget's pretty much open, so I say go for the x4 925 and DDR3! The performance boost from DDR3 will make up for the 200Mhz drop in clock speed.
