DDR-667 vs DDR-800 question

Im building a server.

Has 2 Xeon Quad Core & 2 32GB SSD's
I have 6 FB-DIMM slots & the FSB is 1600MHz

For the same price I can get:

6x2GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800
or 6x4GB PC2-5300 DDR2-667

Which would be faster?
Would there be any detriment in using the DDR-667 RAM?
Having 24GB would be better right?

For the same price go and get the ddr2-800 it is ALWAYS better then ddr2-667... Your Fsb ist 1600 so effective fsb ist 400 and that works perfectly with ddr2-800 (2x400) and will result in a 1:1 ratio which is ideal.

Ok cool, I see what you mean, I just wasnt sure if having a 1:1 ratio would have more benefit than an extra 12GB of ram.

More RAM is almost always better; however, in this case you would have to lower the FSB to 333, which would in turn drop your CPU speed.
