At present i have a P4 2.4Ghz processor with 1gb RAM and Ati 1950x Pro 512Mb video card. I am planning to upgrade my M/board and processor to a AMD AM2 6000+ next month.
Will GTA 4 still run on my new setup along with my ATI X1950 Pro or do i need to upgrade my video card also.

It will run but not great. GTA4 is more cpu bound. To gain "playable" performance (mid/high setting) i suggest a quad core and a 9600gt or a 4830 minimum.
I hear people with intel quad cpus and 9800gtx/4850 barely avg 30fps. New patches will help improve fps but to what extent no one is sure.
