Just go with the P45. No reason to spend $250 on a motherboard when no new CPU's are coming out for it.

P45 vs X48 has nothing to do with speed. For the most part it deals with having an extra x16 PCIE slot for another GPU to use with crossfire.

Go with the P45 unless you want to put two graphics cards in and run them together.

i found this board, its an older chip p35.. im wondering if this might be good for my use, it only supports crossfire not crossfire x is there any difference between the 2 and would you recommend this board ?
