Normal 65nm GTX 260 Core 216 going for $250: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814130398

New 55nm GTX 260 Core 216 going for $255: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814130434

So even though the 55nm version is better in all respects, it's only $5 more expensive than the 65nm version? And reading those reviews, looks likes some poor saps recently bought the 65nm version. I thought the new 55nm process was supposed to bring prices down.

They want people to buy the old ones first! that and nvidia and the companies want that bigger margin etc as well - 55nm will be cheaper to product, charge the same price but receive higher profits etc.

Haha ATi has been on the ball lately thank god! Im kinda glad too that Red Alert 3 actually runs better on the red teams cards even if there a letter card (spec wise) - ATi/AMD need that $$$ etc

My next card might just be ATi

Its amazing to me how many people in the USA , land of the free market , just dont get that businesses are not there to make things cheaper .

They exist to make a profit . A BIG fat profit
