I have a HP COMPAQ 530D SFF, P4 2.8GHZ recently i blew up the power supply assuming the transformer in it or may be the fuse in it, i accidentally turn the 230V to 110V, i had the computer turned off but without disconnecting from the power socket.
However, I'm looking for a power supply (PS) of exact model. In it's specification the max output of the PS is 185W.
I have another PS of max output 350W. My guess is that if i plug in a 350W to a 180W accepting motherbaord it would blow it up. However, in the specs fo 350W PS it says that it supports P4 as well as AMD.
Therefore i have to the temptation to test this PS with my motherboard.
What is you advice on this?

Hi...
Actully you dont have to worry about the Wattage on the PSU...It only depends on the power connector to the motherboard...
If that is correct, then you are good to use the PSU...
