Hey. I'm a newb, but I'm only choosing the parts, cba the rest so, here is the deal:

I need a new Motherboard, PSU, cpu, ram and case and the price has to be around 1k usd. Best possible price/preformance. so 1.2k or 0.9k is fair.

I don't care whether it's amd or intel, but the computer is going to be used for gaming, (and ofc internet + music, but i don't think that rly matters :pt1cable: :) )

Anyway, I got a MSI 9800gtx video-card, which has to match.

The computer is this and next years generation, I probably won't give it an upgrade when the time has come, just buy a new one, and sell this one to my bro for twice the price i paid.

I need some help here so, if someone could be kind enough to bring up some suggestions I would really treasure it.

Very true, the HD 4870 is way better.

However, he's already got the 9800GTX. I'd change the MB to eVGA 750i, remove the HD 4870 from the list, and add a second 9800GTX.

Alternatively, maybe he can sell the 9800GTX. Then your list is perfect and he can add a second HD 4870 later. That would beat the 9800GTX SLI.
