i'm looking for a good cpu&motherboard combo. i will be upgrading soon,ive a 64 bit now but was thinking of going to duo core. i play bf2,call of duty now and don't have any problem with these games. but i want to be faster.

For a good price, i'd look at the AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition.
It's a triple core, only $150, and its a solid processor with great overclocking capabilities.

ok! that sounds good.how about a nice motherboard to go with it?

You can get good AM2+ mobos for 100-ish if you dont mine DDR2. If you want DDR3 tho, you'll have to go with an AM3 socket.

Get a 790gx-based board from Gigabyte, Asus, or MSI.
