hey guys, Just wondering if this Gskill memory is compatable with the Asus P5QL Pro : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820231166
I see that on the Motherboard QVL Gskill is listed under 800 but not 1066. This is 1066 ram so idk if it is compatible.

Would I be able to set it at 1066 in the BIOs? I hear this ram defaults to 800

AFAIK, QVLs are recommendations. But still, can't you look for alternatives? I'd rather you use sticks that are fully compatible with the mobo. Obviously, the QVL's a good guide in this regard.

I've had great success with Gskill ram compatibility. The one time I had to RMA, it was older ddr400, the replacement came back to me in 6 days! And not a cross ship. They will continue to get my business.
