hello. I have a mother board

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813128359

and I believe it requires a 8 pin connecter in addition to the main 20+4 main power connector.

I also have a gtx 280 video card from xfx that requires a 6 pin and an 8 pin power connecter.

Whats the best power supply for this?

My current power supply is a 750 watt but it only has one 4 pin cpu connecter and two 6 pin pci express power connectors.

Please help. My stuff is arriving in the mail on monday and I'll be with out a power supply :(

Well dang, I was hoping i would have gotten a response since this was my first post, but it's only been a few hours. Anyway. this is what I decided on: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817812006

I can't believe how expensive PC parts are getting. It's either me getting older, or more of an enthusiest or the prices are getting higher, I don't know. I remember when I used to buy cases with power supplies built in. 6 months ago I had to replace one of those PSU with case purchase at a price of $70.00. And now here I am again buying another one for +$100.00

I want to fold up in a fetal position on the carpet and cry lolz.

Your original PSU should have worked fine. You don't really need an 8-pin connector.

I've read that on other forums too but I was concerned about not having an 8 pin connector for the cpu and an 8 pin connector for the gxt 280. I only had a 6 pin for the pciexpress and a 4 pin for the CPU

Then it makes sense to get a new one.
