I plan on upgrading to either a 4870 or a 4850x2 however I'm not sure my current PSU could handle a 4850x2. I have a 550 Watt PSU at this moment.

More about : 4870 4850x2

I don't think the 4850X2 is an official ATI product so driver support might be shaky, do you have a crossfire MOBO if uou do you can crossfire 2 4850s.

My specs are: Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3R, Intel Q9300,Xigmatek HDT-SD964 92mm, 8800GTS(Which is being replaced, WD VelociRapter, G.Skill 2 GB, 2x 750 GB, 3x 320GB(Replaced soon by a 640 GB), HT Omega Striker sound card. I'm more or less gonna go with the 4870 but the 4850X2 started to appeal to me. Didn't know it wasn't an official AMD/ATI card.

I would also suggest waiting a week or two for more news on the 5830. It may be as cheap as 200, and should be a much better performer than a 4870, plus it has dx11.
