A QX9770 is worth quite a bit more than a Q9650 though, just due to the higher binning and unlocked multiplier. Even so, I'd put its value at that of an i7 920 at most, so mid $200s.

i have seen a lot of the Extreme processors going for 350 or less. hate to see anyone take a beating like that but demand drives the price. personally, i would keep it around in a second rig before i took that kind of loss.
Bonus for me, the CPU is a sealed boxed retail effort.
I wont be keeping either item as i've only just built my own Q9550 on a DFI X38 board and some nice GeIL DDR2. To keep these extreme bits means i'll need to go fork out £250 on memory and another £100 on a water cooler for the CPU. I'll just sell them on.
Thought an extreme CPU would go for more than $160 tho!!
