I'm hopefully just about to come into possession of the above items and was wondering how much they were worth.

Looking to do a bit of haggling when the stuff turns up (imminently!!) and i've not been given any idea of price as of yet.

Any quick advice would be very welcomed!

Cheers

Ross

I'd look at the closest current CPU (i.e. q9650) and cut the price in half for used = $160 or so.

A QX9770 is worth quite a bit more than a Q9650 though, just due to the higher binning and unlocked multiplier. Even so, I'd put its value at that of an i7 920 at most, so mid $200s.

i have seen a lot of the Extreme processors going for 350 or less. hate to see anyone take a beating like that but demand drives the price. personally, i would keep it around in a second rig before i took that kind of loss.

Bonus for me, the CPU is a sealed boxed retail effort.

I wont be keeping either item as i've only just built my own Q9550 on a DFI X38 board and some nice GeIL DDR2. To keep these extreme bits means i'll need to go fork out £250 on memory and another £100 on a water cooler for the CPU. I'll just sell them on.

Thought an extreme CPU would go for more than $160 tho!!

I ebay'd it last night along with the board, in seperate auctions you'll be glad to know. They're visible on ebay.com so you might already be watching them.
