Ok, I decided that next spring I'm going to upgrade my pc...CPU,MOBO,Memory & PSU. For cpu, I'm thinking either the e8500 or the Q6600 and for psu, either the PC Power & Cooling 610 or Corsair 650TX(which ever is cheaper when I order). I'm kinda stuck on the mobo and memory. I will only run 1 GPU(my 8800gt) and will likely OC the cpu some. Looking for some advice as what the best motherboard and memory would be for my set-up. My budget for this upgrade will be probably $450-$500 or less if possible...let me know what ya think...BTW, I use my pc for gaming mostly...

I think it's better if you come back and ask again then.

Phenom II is coming out, so the prices of the current Core i7's might drop a bit. With the business of DRAM currently being so bad, DDRIII prices might be dropping as well. So suggestions people give you right now won't be really accurate when it comes time for your purchase.

As you only game and surf the C2D.
I would go with a PCPower 750.
Ram 4GB of DDR2 800 that does 4.4.4.12 at 1.8v/1.9v
Board a P35 or X38, I stay away from Asus after the bad RMA fiasco I had with them, where it took 6 months to settle a bad MB issue.
I like DFI MSI Abit and Biostar.
I myself will not mess with a Nehalem system for another year.
Look computer components have a half life of 3 months and then prices start to drop, build your dream system on paper now and then adjust it as needed when you have the cash to but stuff.
