My dvd won't eject. It makes the noises and just won't open. It doesn't show that there is a dvd in it. When I open the back, unplug the cable, and undo the screws holding it to the frame, it won't pull out without hitting the power supply. Do I have to remove the psu, the whole metal frame unit or what?
Most of the time, the optical drives are removed from the front. Pop the side of the tower off. Then look for tabs holding the front facing of the tower on. Press those tabs to pop off the facing. Then the DVD drive can be pulled out.
If it won't eject, look for a small pinhole under the drive tray. Use a paperclip in that hole, to manually eject the tray.
