The above link may or may not work .
It takes you to the download site. But the download wouldn't work
To download look in the bottom right corner for the "download" option

So i searched the name on the database and came up with this one.

Edit: I was later able to download the version "batespro" posted,
(http://www.2shared.com/file/4313006/9f854af1/RV770.html)
Which worked better for my card.

The following Version allowed me to get to post, but i had to uninstall all my drivers in safe mode, to load Vista 64 normally.

I used Driver Sweeper to do this.

It also wouldn't load the Vista Welcoming screen with any drivers installed.
Only use it as a last resort, it will allow you to access your computer but forget gaming.

I recommend USB Stick

Make a copy of all your files! As they will be erased during Formatting!!!

Here is a guide specific to using a USB Stick ( Flash Drive)

http://wccftech.com/forum/overcloc [...] luded.html

PLEASE NOTE! If your Mother Board DOSE NOT!! have a second PCI or PCI-E or AGP Slot

Do not attempt a Flash otherwise your screwed, also note having a Second graphics card can come in handy if you corrupt your first one. thus you can put the other graphics card in Primary Graphic's Card slot and the Corrupted bios in another one. Allowing you to flash the Bios.

I hope this helped someone

Thank You to all who have created articles and posts on this topic

Here something interesting
My 4870 will start up then it will shut of and the mobo won't go to post,
But when I put the other PCI-E graphics card in the 1st slot, the 4870 in 2nd slot fan will keep spinning, it will even adjust it's speed, but it's not under any load.

any idea's why this happens?

My mobo's P5Q-E,
