fixed power cord issue now i have
a dvd/cd drive that will appear
in my computer file then will
disappear when you try to start drive with dvd or cd. also can open
door and do a restart on computer and it will show up again in my computer. any help please

Is it SATA or PATA?
Check the jumper if PATA.
Try replacing the data cable.
Update the firmware.
Try the drive in another computer if possible.
