Okay this is my first time building a computer, but I got an NZXT Guardian 921 with 3 thermal sensors to monitor the heat. I have one CPU sensor, one SYS sensor, and one HDD sensor. I have no idea on where to put these so that I can see how hot it is getting on the outside case. Where do I put these 3 cables?

The system sensor should be near the top of your case, but not by any fans. The HDD sensor should be on the top of the HDD, not the circuit board side. The CPU sensor... well I'm not sure.

I usually slap the CPU sensor on the side of the block making contact with the CPU, or on the side of a centre heatpipe coming from it, but that's just because the shape of my heatsink allows for this placement.

If you're using the stock intel one... I really can't think of anywhere convenient that would be some way accurate...

I'm asking myself this question as well, I think I have the HDD sensor in the right place. But the System and Processor sensors I dont know where to place them. I have the i7 920 and have no clue where to place it.

As for the system sensor where on the top of the case do I place it?

As soon as those are in place what is a good temp they should be reading
