i downloaded 2 years of xp updates and now when i log on
to windows it ask for a password and i never had a
password on that machine. is there a way to bypass this
password? its useless unless i can. thanks for any help

You can try this and see if it will help you out. Did you try to just hit
Enter.

You can try to log on in safe mode, click on the administrator and just hit
enter and see if it will open, it should open if you never put a password
in.
