Hello,
I planning to go with the Ausus p6t delux V2.
I can figure out what amount of mem to go with nor which manufacturer.
Id really be greatful for some advice.
I know that 32bit os will not see more then 3.5 gigs but I thing id swap to 64 bit and im thinking about getting either 3 gigs for the 32 or 6 gigs for the 64.

The mem I want to go with is either corsair (which worked well for me in the past or kinston and may ocz)

P.S. The lower the cas the better?

Thanks,
Sebastian

the CAS is just one of the timings. But yes, the lower the better. But be careful of the voltage. If its got really low timings, but a higher than normal voltage, that probably means that its factory OC. those are a bit riskier if your planning on doing any overclocking yourself.
All of those brands are good. You just need to decide whats in your price range, and hope that sites like NewEgg or TigerDirect have discounts on the items you want to get. Thats usually a pretty good criteria. Unless your doing some extreme OC i'd stay away from the modules w/ huge heatsinks. Its not neaded by most people.

hi,
I hear what you're saying bout the discount. My price range is 150-200 at most. I dont plan to OC toooo much(maybe 10-15%). I was looking at Kingston, Corsair or OCZ. The speed I'm looking for is 1600mhz as I'v been told that I7-920 puts a limit on how OCing u can do (BTW i plan to get a asus p6t or the delux 2).

Question 1) Do you or others think I can get the 1600 speed with the I7 and OC (10-15%)
Question 2) Out of the brands selected above which one would you and others reading this go with?

Thanks

They are comparable brands to the best of my knowledge
i'd go w/ the cheapest, or if you have a particular brand affinity.
W/ careful overclocking, 15% should be doable.

Thanks for the reply. Was just wondering why OCZ?
I'm basically down to OCZ, Kingston and Corsair.
What makes OCZ the best out of the 3

BTW I want to go with 1600mhz

Why do you think there is such a huge price difference between these 2 OCZ platinums?
OCZ3P1600LVA6GK (364.99)
OCZ3P1600LV6GK (97.80)

Both almost the same (I'm sure its something in the specs but is it worth it?
I was going to go with the LV6GK or the corsairs TR3X6G1600C8D (163.50), got it down to those 2.
