VX550 enough for a HD5870?

Hi!

I'm planning to buy a Powercolor HD5870 and wanted to know if a Corsair VX550 PSU is enough for it?

My other system specs are:

Phenom II X4 940 BE
True Black (Push-Pull)
Asus M4A78-EM/1394
6GB Corsair XMS2
3 X HDD's
Asus Xonar DX
NZXT Sentry
Rheobus Fan Controller
4 X cold cathodes
1 X DVD Writer
CM HAF 932 Cabinet w/ 9 fans
Logitech Z5500

That PSU is plenty to run a 5870 your good.

Yes, you'll be fine. I'm running my rig of a FSP 500W and I've run furmark+prim95 without it blowing up .

Of course, according to my killawat P3 my max draw is over 400W from the wall so you won't be doing your power bill any favors. Then again, if you can game that's what matters :lol:

That PSU will easily power a 5870.

It's fine for a single 5870....if you thing Xfire might be in your future, then I'd go bigger.
