What I've got so far is
LG 22X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA Model GH22LS30
COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW Black Aluminum Bezel , SECC Chassis ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250310AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
ASRock A780GXE/128M AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G ATX AMD Motherboard
EDIMAX EW-7128G PCI Wireless Card
EVGA 896-P3-1265-AR GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16
Corsair 650W PSU
ARK WO-8302 Black/Silver PS/2 Standard 3-in-1 Keyboard, Mouse and Speakers
Transcend 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
AMD Phenom 9950 2.6GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Black Edition
Vista 64-bit Home Premium

Is this okay? Also, is it okay to run a Nvidia card on an AMD chipset like in the one in the motherboard I picked, or should I get a new motherboard/videocard?

Thanks for any and all help. I'm new at this.

It's okay to run an nVidia GPU on an AMD chipset. You just won't be able to run 2 nVidia GPU's on the mobo. You can run 2 AMD GPU's on it, but only 1 nVidia one, with your current mobo selection.
What is your budget?
What is the purpose of this build, gaming?
Overall the build isn't too bad. I like the PSU you selected and should serve you well for quite some time.

Ok, thanks. I was a little worried about that for a while. Right now, I think I'm just going to go for a single card solution anyways, so that doesn't really bother me too much. My budget is around 1000$ I guess, but I want it to be as low under that as possible. When I first started looking at parts, I set my budget at 800, but one thing led to another and it got up there a little bit. The purpose is mainly gaming, with a little bit of word processing and internet browsing. Thanks for the help.

With the ~$200 GPU, I assumed it was going to be a gaming rig, but I didn't want to assume anything. There are other setups that will work too, but if you like the AMD build than stick with what you like. If you can OC some too, than an Intel based build will be pretty productive too.
* I'd consider getting the WD 640 gb AAKS version HD. It's going for $75 shipped and is quite fast and good sized too!
* A 4870 512mb/1gb GPU is also another GPU option, if your in $250 range. It's up to you whether or not the 4870 is a GPU that you like or not. It'll also depend on which games you generally are going to be using too. The 4870 is a pretty good card and beats the gtx 260 in most things, so it's up to you.
* The x2 6000+ Dual core CPU is probably better for gaming than the 9950, but for software that takes advantage of the extra cores, the 9950 is good too. The e8400/e8500 are also good CPU's to consider also, since they are already at 3-3.16 gHz and will OC quite well too. They are around the $170-190 range. The e7200 at $120 is also a good buy. My personal favorite is the e5200 for $83 (2.5 gHz) and OC it to 3.2-3.4 on stock cooling!! This is just my opinions and some options to conisider, if you haven't already been down that path.

Intel build:
CPU - $83 e5200 (2.5 ghz)
Mobo - $100-125 p45 based mobo
GPU - $190 (512mb version) - $240 (1 gb version) 4870 or $250 for your nVidia gtx 260
Memory - $25 Cas5 DDR2 800mHz $55 - $30 MIR = $25!! Much better than the Transcend you selected.
HD - $75 WD AAKS 640 gb HD!
Case $60 shipped! Antec 300 case. The CM one you selected is $68 shipped on Newegg.
PSU - $95 - $30 MIR = $65!! Corsair 650tx, better price at Buy.com! Save $15 over Newegg price!
DVD Burner - ~$30 Get a RETAIL version so you get the software to read/burn DVD's!!

Total ~$660 - $60 MIR's = $600 + OS ($100 Vista Home Premium 64 bit) = $700!!
Total w/gtx 260 just add ~$60 to previous total = $760!!
Total w/q6600 (Intel quad) add ~$100 more = $860 with gtx 260 or $830 w/4870 512mb version.

AMD build:
CPU - $170 AMD Phenom 9950 BE!!
Mobo - ~$90 shipped Using your selection.
GPU - $190 - $250 Depending on your selection here!
Memory - $55 - $30 MIR = $25! Using same link as above.
HD - $75 shipped same HD as above.
Case - $60 shipped Using Antec 300 link above.
PSU - $95 - $30 MIR = $65!! Using same PSU link above.
DVD Burner - ~$30
OS - $100 Same as link above.

Total =~$865 - $60 MIR's = ~$805!! So you can see that you can save some $ with the AMD build over the Intel build, not by a whole bunch, but you can save some $ there. If you went with the x2 6000+ CPU than you could subtract about $100 off of the total price, which would put you at about $700 with the OS. You can decide what works for you, just thought I'd show you some different setups that are similar in price. Long term the quads will probably last longer, or if you went with the easily OC'able Intel C2D's would also probably last a bit longer, depending on your needs.

Thanks for all the help! I never would have caught that Ram with the MIR, HD, the case, or the PSU. Plus, I hadn't even thought about the software for the DVD drive. I'm going to buy all the parts now, hopefully I won't break the processor or something, haha.
