How to remove full or write-protection from disc?

I am unable to delete a MPEG-4 file which I had downloaded and strored in "My Documents".
When I tried to delete the file, I get a pop-up that "Make sure that the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use".

Please do let me know. This file is not a desirable file to be sitting on my Desktop in "My Documents",

Reboot in Safe Mode, try to delete it then.

try to restart your computer then keep on clicking at the F8 button until you get several choices. go to the start with a safe mode once you are on the safe mode go quickly to the file you want to delete and delete it as quickly as possible and then empty your trash Bin and restart the unwanted file should be deleted. Iraqi good Samaritan
