Hey all,

I bought a asus m4n72-e and I wanted to swap it for a m4a79-deluxe. I built the system with xp64 OEM system builders. There is no way to swap mobo without buying whole new OS, correct? The messages I've seen and the packaging on the oem system builders packaging make me think the answer could swing either way. Thanks for your clarification.

Well I tried it and failed. But I'm betting there is a way...don't know how legal it is though.

Well I swapped motherboards just for giggles to see what would happen. xp 64 bit accepted the motherboard without a fresh install. stuck the new motherboard disk in loaded the drivers took out the nvidia drivers from the other asus board and everthing is running stable and great ....no problems.
